Since its emergence in 2012, Line has become one of the instant messaging applications that are widely used by people besides Whatsapp. Not only as a messaging application, Line also has a Keep service to store data such as conversations, photos, videos, audio, links, and documents on the Line application.
Line’s Keep Service relies on the cloud to store user data so that the stored data will not consume internal memory on the cell phone. Line provides 1 GB of storage for free for Keep users. Although free, Line has certain restrictions regarding the size of documents that can be stored on the Keep service.
Files that have a size greater than 50MB, will not be stored permanently in Keep. The file will only be stored for 30 days. This can be seen in the countdown information available in the file list. In addition, the Keep service can only store photos with a maximum size of 20MB with a maximum resolution of 10,000 x 10,000 pixels.
So how do you use Keep? To be able to save data in Keep, it’s quite easy. Users simply open the Line application and in the “Friends” menu select “Keep” which is located next to the profile photo.
Then press the plus / plus (+) button on the top right and select the file category you want to save. After that, select the file you want to save in Line Keep. In addition to these methods, there are also more practical ways to store data in Line Keep. Users can directly save data in the chat by selecting photos, files or conversations that you want to save.
The trick, press for about 2 seconds on the desired file and press “Save in Keep”. Mark all the data you want to keep in Keep then press the “Keep” button to save the data. In addition to storing personal data, this service also allows users to share data that has been saved to other user’s accounts.
Users can freely send data that is on the Line Keep via mobile or on a computer. What is the difference? If you want to share Keep data with other phones, in the chat you can press the “+” button then select “Keep”. After that, select the file to be shared with Keep and press the share button.
