Samsung launches a cheap tablet device, Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020). As the name suggests, this tablet has a 8.4 inch screen size, and became the successor to the Galaxy Tab A 8.0, released 2019 ago. Galaxy Tab A 8.4 is an inexpensive alternative for those who want a Samsung tablet, but don’t have the funds to buy a Galaxy Tab S6.
The price of the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 is 279 US dollars. Compare with the price tag of the Galaxy Tab S6 released last year, which reached 649 US dollars. Although cheap, this tablet is equipped with a 1.8 GHz octa-core CPU, 5,000 mAh battery, and a slim and sleek body design.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 screen uses an 8.4 inch TFT LCD panel with WUXGA resolution (1,900 x 1,200 pixels). Although the resolution is not 4K, the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 is claimed to be able to play 4K resolution video with a frame rate of 30 fps.
There are two cameras that are carried by the Galaxy Tab A 8.4, namely 5 megapixel selfie camera and 8 megapixel rear camera. The RAM memory that is carried by 3 GB and 32 GB of storage capacity. There is a MicroSD slot that can accommodate capacities up to 512 GB.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 battery, which is 5,000 mAh, is claimed to be capable of playing music for up to 99 hours, or playing videos for 12 hours on a single full charge.
Other features on this Mocha colored tablet include Bluetooth 5.0, 4G (LTE, single- SIM) connectivity, Wi-Fi a / b / g / n / ac, 3.5 mm audio port, and micro USB 2.0. For now, the Galaxy Tab A 8.4 is available in bundling with Verizon mobile operators, aka only available in the US.
