As has been widely broadcast before, Oppo Find X2 will be covered by Snapdragon 865 chipset. The chipset is the latest release from Qualcomm which was just released last December 2019. There are many advantages that this chipset will bring and certainly have implications for the performance of the Oppo Find X2 which will be released next February 22.

The performance of a number of features will improve with the support of Snpadragon 865 compared to its predecessor which is powered by Snapdragon 845. As for a number of features affected by the increased performance of Snapdragon 865 gaming, images, and networking.


Snapdragon 865 is the first mobile platform on Android that supports “Desktop Forward Rendering”. The technology allows game developers to improve desktop quality and post- rendering effects to create a new real experience for mobile games.

This chipset is also supported by “Gaming HDR” with a 144Hz screen refresh rate. This feature is called the first time present on mobile devices. There is also a “Game Color Plus” feature to enrich image quality with optimized detail, as well as color saturation.

Snapdragon 865 which is supported by Kryo 585 is claimed to be able to improve performance up to 25 percent. Adreno 650 graphics are also promised to provide performance improvements of up to 25 percent compared to the previous generation.


In the camera sector, Snapdragon 865 is supported by a very fast Qualcomm Spectra 480 “Image Signal Processor” (ISP). This technology is promised to bring new features for photography and videography from smartphones.

Later, images can be captured in 4K HDR format and 8K video format. The ISP is also capable of processing 2 gigapels per second and is capable of capturing slow motion video at 960 fps.


Likely, Oppo will also launch Find X2 version 5G. The variant will rely on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X55 5G modem. The modem has speeds of up to 7.5 Gbps. This 5G technology will support all major regions and bands including mmWave and sub-6 in TDD and FDD frequencies.

In addition, this modem will also be compatible with NSA and SA modes along with Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS), global 5G roaming and support for multi-SIM. Snapdragon 865 also enhances Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth performance through Qualcomm’s FastConnect connectivity subsystem.
